This day was not only a dream come true for Armando and Vanessa but it was a dream come true for us as well!! We photographed our first wedding outside of the United States and in Cancun. We loved every single second of it! Not only was it beautiful scenery but Armando and Vanessa’s joy was exuberating all day!
We all had arrived at the resort days before and were able to enjoy the beach before the big day. On the day of their wedding, the first look was a special one. We chose a completely private area under a tall palm tree. Seeing each other before the ceremony calm their nerves perfectly. First looks tend to do that!
Their ceremony was up on the terrace that overlooked the blue ocean. The shade, breeze, and smell of the salt water created a surreal feeling for the entire ceremony. The closest friends and family attended Armando and Vanessa’s destination wedding. Each person was specifically there for this couple and it was beautiful to see. Everyone stayed on the terrace for the beautiful cocktail hour. They grabbed a perfectly made margarita and enjoyed the view.
Let’s talk about portraits on the beach!! They were an absolute blast!! No shoes, sunshine, ocean air and excitement!! Everyone was just happy to be there. The reception on the beach was one heck of a party. Under the palm trees and string lights they toasted, drank, danced, and then danced some more.
We were so grateful Armando and Vanessa entrusted us to photograph this incredible day. We loved every minute of it and enjoyed all the sand, sunshine, and palm trees.
Do we travel for weddings? Yes. Yes, we do!
