TJ and Claire are both from the San Antonio area. Specifically New Braunfels and Seguin. So when they decided to get married they chose to have their wedding on their property in Seguin. They are currently building their forever home and will have it completed by October and this is where they will get ready. TJ was explaining the beautiful open chapel they will build to get married in. It is going to be perfect.

For their engagement session, they wanted to keep the family land theme going. So we were able to use Claire’s grandparent’s property! The herd of cows, vintage truck, old oak trees, and small pond were so much fun to incorporate in their images. These two were so flexible for their engagement session. Plan A was Saturday evening. But the 30 degrees, rainy, cloudy day was telling us that was not a good idea. However, Nate & I were only in town until 5 pm the next day. So, we reschedule for Sunday at 11:30 am. If you’re a photographer you’re thinking that is in the middle of the day, how on earth are you going to do that?

This goes back to experience. We have taken portraits at any time during the day. Morning, afternoon, evening, and nighttime. No matter what lighting or time of day you give us, we know how to use the light to our advantage to create beauty and art. And that’s what happened this day. All the beautiful sunlight was used to its greatest potential and we absolutely love how these images turned out! Not to mention, these two and their beautiful smiles made this photo shoot beautiful and fun!
