The blue sky and happy sunshine was a theme throughout Mackenzie and Grant’s day. Not only did Mackenzie choose a bright blue as her wedding color, but the sky was literally blue all day long! With this rainy spring season we have had in Texas, that was a miracle in itself. The Brooks at Weatherford was looking its best with lushes green grass and a full-bloomed landscape. From A to Z Designs was decorating the mantle with all the flowers when we arrived. Her hydrangeas, roses, greenery, and a little blue flower I can’t remember the name of, were filling up the room. It was full of charm, romance, and joy.

Grant was a man full of excitement and nerves. He was so ready to marry Mackenzie. The anticipation was real! Mackenzie was calm and ready. Right before the ceremony, Grant’s grandmother came into Mackenzie’s room to present a family heirloom for her to wear. A ruby ring. Three previous generations had worn this ring at each of their weddings. That day was Mackenzie’s day to wear the ring as she married Grant. The ceremony was full of tears, smiles and breathtaking moments.

Their wedding party was full of family and their closest of friends! This group was awesome throughout their portraits. We set them up in this beautiful field with the chapel in the background. But when you’re in a big green field, you’re usually not the only one there. A bridesmaids all of a sudden said, “Ants! Ants. Ants…it’s ok though. Keep going.” We were like, “It is not ok!! Move forward!” Talk about devoted friends to endure ants for the photos!

A highlight from the reception was most definitely Mackenzie and Grant’s first dance. It was a choreographed dance and they performed it perfectly. It was full of spins, twists, and romance. At the very end, they surprised everyone when Grant picked up Mackenzie and spun her around while her dress followed in a beautiful blur of joy. Perfection.

We loved capturing all these moments and even more! These two, so in love! As a husband and wife team, we get even more excited to see other’s commit their lives to each other. Mackenzie and Grant, we wish you all the love and joy this world can offer!
