Life of Nate & Grace

This year has been a year full of learning, adventure, and blessings. We both were able to pursue some hobbies this year. Grace completed her yoga trainer’s certification and Nate is currently writing his dissertation in order to complete his Doctor of Naturopathy schooling. Nate was able to begin his pilot’s license training this year and hopes to finish it in 2019. While adding these extra hobbies onto the schedule we were able to serve 26 beautiful couples this year through our photography business. There are days we ask ourselves if we really get to have our dream job. We don’t take it for granted and are so grateful. Among learning, we were both able to go on some adventures, together and separately. Because we work together 24/7 we scheduled in some separate trips with friends. Nate took a guy’s ski trip to Colorado and also went to the Oshkosh Air Show in Wisconsin. Grace traveled with a dear friend, Conner for a girl’s week in Charleston and also visited and explored Nashville with her sister, Leah. We are grateful to have amazing friends to travel with. Our trips together included a few days in Scottsdale, Arizona, where we shot a wedding and added a couple days of vacation. We went to Estes Park, Colorado twice this year. A week in June for our anniversary was a highlight because we attempted to summit Longs Peak, elevation 14,259. We started our hike at 3:30 am. It was incredibly difficult but so much fun! After encountering gusting winds upwards of 50mph about 45min from the summit, we made a hard but safe decision to turn around. Even though we didn’t make it all the way to the top the hike was one of a lifetime and a great way to celebrate 3 years of marriage. We went back to Colorado in October for 2 weeks to relax and rejuvenate after a busy season of shooting weddings. So many wonderful blessing and moments happened back in Texas, such as hosting a New Year’s Eve, Fiesta, July Fourth and a festive Fall party. We had a close friend live in our home for the first part of the year and Grace’s sister, Hannah lived with us during the summer. We continue to enjoy and be refreshed by sharing our home with others. 2019 will be a big year for us as we continue to grow our business, get more involved in our community and increase our knowledge in our new hobbies. We praise the Lord for another year to live and serve Him.
